PIA
Pakistan International Airlines is the national flag carrier airline of Pakistan. The airline is headquartered at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and is one of the most recognizable airlines in Asia. PIA runs scheduled services to twenty four domestic destinations and thirty nine international destinations in twenty five countries across Asia, Europe and North America.
PIA’s main bases are at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and secondary bases are at Peshawar, Faisalabad, Quetta, Sialkot and Multan. The airline is owned by the Government of Pakistan and other share holders.
Emirates
Emirates airline is the national airline of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Emirates airlines is among the largest airline in the Middle East that operates over twenty four thousand passenger flights per week from Dubai International Airport, to one hundred and five cities in sixty two countries across six continents. The company also operates three of the ten world's longest nonstop flight from Dubai to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston. Emirates airline is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which has over fifty thousand employees, and is entirely-owned by the Government of Dubai directly under the Investment Corporation of Dubai. Cargo activities are undertaken by the Emirates Group's Emirates SkyCargo division.
Lufthansa
Lufthansa is the national flag carrier airline of Germany and is the largest airline in Europe in terms of overall passengers carried. The word ‘lufthansa’ is derived from two German words Luft (which means air) and Hansa(after Hanseatic League).
Lufthansa is the world's 5th largest airline in terms of overall passengers carried, operating services to eighteen domestic destinations and one eight three international destinations in seventy eight countries across Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe. It is also Germany's largest and second largest in Europe. Together with its partners Lufthansa services around four hundred and ten destinations. With over seven hundred and twenty two aircraft it has the 3rd largest passenger airline fleet in the world when combined with its subsidiaries.
Lufthansa's registered office and corporate headquarters is in Deutz, Cologne, with its main operations base at Frankfurt Airport in Frankfurt.
Thai Airways
Thai Airways is the national flag carrier airline of Thailand. It is the largest airline of Thailand. Formed in 1988, the airline's headquarters are located in Chatuchak District, Bangkok, and operates out of Suvarnabhumi Airport. Thai is a founding member of the Star Alliance.
From its hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thai flies to 71 destinations in 34 countries, using a fleet of 98 aircraft. The airline operates one of the longest non-stop commercial flights, including the 18 hours non-stop flight from Bangkok to Los Angeles.
British Airways
British Airways is the national flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom which is based and headquartered at London Heathrow Airport. British Airways operates a second hub at London Gatwick Airport and a third hub, served through its fully owned subsidiary, BA CityFlyer, at London City Airport. British Airways is the largest airline in the UK based on fleet size, international flights and international destinations. BA's UK passengers originating at non-London airports must connect via London after British Airways discontinued all direct overseas flights from UK airports, other than Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airports, with the sale of BA Connect to British regional carrier Flybe in 2007.
